About Us, Hi Everyone, my name is Jigisha and I’m the owner behind Chai Wicks! Ever since I can remember, I’ve been obsessed with candles… from how they were made to snuggling under the blanket after a long day and lighting a good candle! It started when I was about 12 years old and was at my cousin’s house. She was showing me her new handmade gel candles and it was at that moment, I became fascinated by them. I remember telling my mom on the drive home that we needed to go to Michael’s the next day to pick up candle supplies because I wanted to make some for myself. Fast forward to early 2020, my husband and I were talking about planning a trip to India around November/December...little did we know everything was about to change in the weeks to come. When October hit, I found myself struggling being indoors, itching to travel, and trying to find projects to keep myself busy. One day while I was on my phone, I saw a video of a girl making a candle….and it was then I realized that if I couldn’t travel, I was determined to find a way to bring India to me! Now that I’ve mastered the science behind making candles, I can’t wait to share them with YOU! It’s going to be like traveling to the motherland, without having to sit on the plane for hours!
